Dear Friends,
12 years ago this month we took possession of 1175 Wellington Street.
Covered in paint, hammer and saw in hand, we worked, ate, and often slept in what would become our home away from home. A “concrete shell” would be an appropriate description of what the Dojo looked like then.
We worked for nearly two months to be able to open our doors and even then our front lobby was nothing more than open space with a picnic table in the middle of it. During our first week we only had partial lighting and the first few pioneer students were treated to a dimly lit introduction class on a sparsely matted concrete floor.
Our mission to continually improve has of course been reflected in the upgrades to the facility over the years, but most importantly in the quality and results we have been committed to achieve with our students. Our goal has always been to provide a transformational experience that will last a lifetime. Whether its achieving vibrant health and fitness, learning cutting edge techniques in the pursuit of martial mastery, building unstoppable confidence, or any of the countless benefits of training. Of course the amazing camaraderie found at the Dojo makes the journey to achieving these goals even better.
This mission has taken us all over the world, obsessively learning from the best in every related field to be able to enhance the experience for you. This has led to many changes over the years, everyone of which has been squarely aimed at providing better results. This incessant drive to improve has clearly placed the Dojo in the top tier of schools anywhere in the world.
We are very thankful we were able to pursue our passions professionally but most importantly we are truly thankful for the opportunity to share it with you.
Of all our experiences in a lifetime of martial arts training and a decade at the Dojo, the most rewarding has always been to share the excitement and benefits of martial arts with all of you.
